Job summary

Orchard Care Homes is seeking an Activity Co-ordinator at Ashlea Lodge Care Home, Sunderland. You will design engaging daily activities, lead on-site events and coordinate external performers to support residents’ well-being.

The role involves organising outings, maintaining activity budgets, and promoting the home in the local community. training and progression opportunities are offered across our portfolio of homes.

Responsibilities

• Plan & gain approval for a programme of varied group and/or individual events following discussions with individuals, care staff & relatives.
• Run all events on the programme with attention to patient safety, comfort & enjoyment.
• Accompany people on outings, ensuring adequate care staff and safety standards are met.
• Keep records of all finances for the programme, align with budget, assist fund raising, manage equipment.
• Organise regular visits from Ministers of religious denominations and assist transport to services.
