The service offers a welcoming and stimulating setting where individuals can socialise, build confidence and quality of life. With facilities designed to support a range of needs and abilities, Cambrian Green helps people stay connected to their community while providing valuable support to their families and carers.

What you will be doing
  • It will be your responsibility to plan and coordinate a diverse programme of activities that provide meaningful occupation, enjoyment and social opportunities for service users.
  • To ensure high-quality services are delivered throughout the day, you will oversee the running of activities, coordinating, supporting and leading staff teams to provide an engaging and person-centred service.
  • Using your expertise, you will develop a good understanding of service users strengths, preferences and support needs, working collaboratively with health professionals, volunteers and community partners to help people achieve positive outcomes.
  • You will maintain accurate records, including support plans and risk assessments, ensuring information is recorded clearly and reviewed regularly to support effective and safe service delivery.
  • A key aspect of your role will be assessing, monitoring and reviewing care plans, implementing changes where required to ensure services continue to meet the needs of those attending the centre.
What we need from you
  • We require you to hold a vocational qualification in social care, such as a QCF, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
  • It is essential that you have considerable experience of working in a similar service area with service users who have complex needs linked to dementia, including those with complex needs and challenging behaviour.
  • You will have a good understanding of relevant legislation, regulations and best practice, including safeguarding, the Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) and the Essential Standards of Quality and Safety.
  • Supporting the team, you will provide day-to-day guidance and leadership to staff, ensuring activities are delivered safely, effectively and in line with service users' needs.
