Job summary

NXA Talent LTD is recruiting a Demand Planning Manager for a FMCG Distribution brand in Wolverhampton. The role leads the demand planning team to maximise product availability while minimising wastage, delivering the group’s demand planning strategy.

You will build strong trading and supplier relationships and use Power BI to provide data-driven insights to the wider business. The position is hybrid with 2–3 days on site and offers up to £50,000 plus a generous package.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Supply Chain Replenishment role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to build relationships.
• Strong organisational and planning skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; other MS tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the demand planning team to maximise availability on all products in commodity groups with varied seasonally driven sales.
• Communicate opportunities and risks to the wider business to support end-to-end stock availability and mitigate risks.
• Action daily huddles to inform, share, understand and challenge to deliver the group-wide demand planning strategy.
• Work with Power BI data sources to analyse and provide rich data to the wider business.
• Investigate high stock levels and wastage and drive resolution.
• Collaborate with other departments to achieve end-to-end stock availability.
• Lead the team to build strong trading and supplier relationships to deliver annual KPI targets.
• Lead the team to manage stock targets at commodity group level and analyse stock to ensure high inventory levels.
• Maintain data-based reports and refine processes to stay on track with the demand planning strategy.

Demand Planning Manager

My client is a FMCG Distribution brand working with some of the largest brands. The Demand Planning Manager will lead the team to maximise availability whilst minimising wastage to ensure delivery of the demand planning strategy

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the demand planning team to maximise availability on all products in commodity groups with varied seasonally driven sales
• Communicating opportunities and risks to the wider business to support the end-to-end stock availability, ensuring risks are mitigated
• To action and ensure that daily huddles are completed with the purpose to inform, share, understand and challenge to ensure delivery of the group wide demand planning strategy
• Consistently working with Power BI data sources, using these reports to analyse and provide rich data to the wider business
• Ensure that the team investigate high stock levels and wastage working towards resolution
• Work collaboratively with other departments to make sure supply chain end to end stock availability is achieved
• Lead the demand planning team to build strong trading and supplier relationships to maximise and deliver the annual KPI Targets
• Lead the team to work to stock holding targets at commodity group level, whilst taking responsibility for managing and analysing stock to ensure high inventory levels
• Maintaining data-based reports and refine processes to continually improve to ensure we are on track to deliver the demand planning strategy

Experience

• You must have previous experience in a Supply Chain Replenishment role previously
• Ability to use logical and creative thinking to solve problems and make decisions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships
• Strong organisational and planning skills with an attention to detail
• Competence in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential and all other Microsoft programmes preferred
• Ability to provide leadership, direction, and motivation to teams
