Job summary

AO.com is seeking a Demand Planner to own a key category on a 12-month maternity cover contract, based onsite at Bolton. You’ll dive into data to forecast accurately, spot trends, and collaborate with internal teams, suppliers and partners to keep stock flowing smoothly.

You’ll build relationships, use Excel daily, and develop your supply chain know-how while supporting promotional planning and weekly performance updates to senior management.

Qualifications

• Experience in Demand Planning, Trading or Supply Chain is preferred.
• Excellent Excel and data interpretation skills are essential.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Buyer to collaboratively forecast your category range.
• Attend supplier meetings to agree forecast plans, intake requirements, and discuss performance.
• Manage range changes, ensuring a smooth and well planned transition between outgoing and incoming lines.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with both internal teams and external partners.
• Support promotional planning to deliver effective and well executed activity.
• Provide weekly performance updates from your category to senior management.
• Maintain accurate data within our forecasting and replenishment system.

We’re on the lookout for a Demand Planner to join our fast moving Supply Chain team in a 12 month maternity cover contract. If you love data, numbers, problem solving, and making things run like clockwork, you’ll fit right in.

As our new Demand Planner, you’ll take full ownership of a key category and ensure we’ve always got the right products at the right time. You’ll dive into the numbers, spot trends early, and use your insight to shape accurate, confident forecasts. And because strong relationships are a big part of how we work, you’ll collaborate closely with teams across AO, as well as our suppliers and partners, to keep communications clear and our stock flowing smoothly.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

A Few Things About You

• You're super organised, have a great eye for detail, and take pride in getting the little things right.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, and the ability to learn new tech and systems.
• You're great at building positive relationships with suppliers and stakeholders, escalating issues when needed.
• Experience in a Demand Planning, Trading or Supply Chain role would be an advantage.
