It is an exciting time to join Forgemasters, as the business is undergoing growth and modernization following its acquisition by the UK Ministry of Defence in 2021. This acquisition secures our role as a critical supplier to future UK defence programmes. Over the next 10 years, our plant and equipment will be modernized, creating new opportunities for our business and colleagues.

Based on our 64-acre site in Sheffield, we are seeking a Demand Planner. This role involves developing a demand plan to enable accurate forecasting of customer demand through the company's S&OP process.

Role Responsibilities

Ensure to review your CV and all role requirements before applying.

• Participate in the Sales & Operations Planning team.
• Input and validate sales forecasts within the S&OP process.
• Collaborate with sales, business development, and marketing to forecast future demand, including product mix, volume, and value over time.
• Maintain sales forecast data within planning software.
• Use business intelligence and data analysis to improve forecast accuracy.
• Work with sales to create recovery plans for demand variances.
• Identify and manage constraints, issues, and opportunities with the S&OP team.
• Monitor order book progress, forecast demand, and delivery performance to understand impacts.
• Create demand planning scenarios to assess risks and sensitivities.
• Analyze forecast variances and KPIs.
• Develop sales/demand performance dashboards and reports.
• Implement process improvements.
• Support the overall planning process.

About You

Relevant skills, knowledge, and experience include:

• Experience in a similar demand planning role.
• Familiarity with planning systems and technology, including ERP.
• Strong analytical and project management skills.
• Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Experience with manufacturing planning processes.

Days/Hours of Work

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexible start and finish times between 06:15 - 09:30 and 14:30 – 18:00.
