Job summary

MTrec Ltd seeks a dedicated Demand Planner to ensure smooth production flow through methodical planning in a fast-moving manufacturing environment. You will issue daily production plans, adjust forecasts, and support strategic reviews with the Demand Lead.

The role requires strong numeracy, analytical thinking, and excellent communication. Based at a busy site with immediate starts and ongoing progression opportunities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Issue daily production plans for production lines and monitor adherence.
• Review, analyse and adjust customer forecasts to the production plan.
• Support Demand Lead in strategic review of production requirements.
• Review short-term customer forecasting and attend weekly planning meetings.
• Lead weekly production meetings and liaise with cross-functional teams.
• Report on production plan movements to stakeholders and customers.
• Ensure SAP parameters are accurate and review inventory levels across the network.
• Work with procurement to improve process accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain min/max production levels to service customers and logistics.
• Manage customer stock levels and forecast updates within the planning team.

MTrec Technical are representing our well-established and forward-thinking manufacturing client in their search for a dedicated and passionate Demand Planner. This role will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of production through methodical and strategic planning, within a busy and fast-moving environment.

The Job You Will Do:

• Responsible for the issuing of production plans on a day-to-day basis for the production lines.
• Review, analyse and adapt customer forecasts to the business's production plan.
• Support the Demand Lead in the strategic review of the production requirements, identifying potential challenges.
• Review short-term customer forecasting.
• Attend and support in weekly customer meetings from a planning perspective.
• Attending daily production meetings, liaising with key stakeholders from across internal business areas
• Leading weekly production meetings, liaising with key stakeholders from across internal business areas.
• Review, communicate and report on production plan movements, across all relevant stakeholders.
• Review feasibility and communicate any movements within the firm period with both customers and internal departments.
• Working with the Demand Lead to support both customer and business requirements.
• Build good work relationships with customers and other cross-functional team members.
• Ensure accurate parameters are reflected in SAP and regularly reviewed to achieve optimum materials inventory holding within the network
• Ensure production plans are accurate and aligned with production parameters for the following 12 weeks. Inclusive of operating hours, quality parameters and engineering requirements.
• Proactively identify slow-moving and obsolete SKU risks, report and follow up by closely working with other functional teams.
• Review existing processes and work closely with the procurement team to improve accuracy and efficiencies, where possible.
• Ensure production requirements are within agreed min/max levels to best service both the customer and logistics.
• To take ownership of customer stock levels and forecasting, regularly updating the other members of the planning team and customer accounts.
• React to issues daily, created both internally and by customers.
• Provide demand planning support for colleagues when required.
