Job summary

MTrec Technical are representing a well-established manufacturing client in their search for a dedicated and passionate Demand Planner. This role will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of production through methodical and strategic planning in a busy environment.

You will issue daily production plans, review and adapt customer forecasts, support the Demand Lead in strategic production reviews, and participate in weekly customer and daily production meetings.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in production or demand planning is essential.

Responsibilities

• Issuing production plans on a day-to-day basis for the production lines.
• Review, analyse and adapt customer forecasts to the production plan.
• Support the Demand Lead in strategic production reviews and addressing challenges.
• Review short-term customer forecasting.
• Attend and support weekly customer meetings from a planning perspective.
• Attend daily production meetings with key stakeholders across internal areas.
• Lead weekly production meetings with stakeholders across internal areas.
• Review production plan movements and report to stakeholders.
• Review feasibility and communicate movements within the firm period with customers and internal departments.
• Work with the Demand Lead to support customer and business requirements.
• Build relationships with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Ensure parameters are reflected in SAP and review to optimise inventory.
• Ensure plans align with 12-week production parameters including hours and quality requirements.
• Identify slow-moving and obsolete SKU risks and coordinate with teams.

The Job You Will Do:

• Responsible for the issuing of production plans on a day-to-day basis for the production lines.


• Review, analyse and adapt customer forecasts to the business's production plan.


• Support the Demand Lead in the strategic review of the production requirements, identifying potential challenges.


• Review short-term customer forecasting.


• Attend and support in weekly customer meetings from a planning perspective.


• Attending daily production meetings, liaising with key stakeholders from across internal business areas


• Leading weekly production meetings, liaising with key stakeholders from across internal business areas.


• Review, communicate and report on production plan movements, across all relevant stakeholders.


• Review feasibility and communicate any movements within the firm period with both customers and internal departments.


• Working with the Demand Lead to support both customer and business requirements.


• Build good work relationships with customers and other cross-functional team members.


• Ensure accurate parameters are reflected in SAP and regularly reviewed to achieve optimum materials inventory holding within the network


• Ensure production plans are accurate and aligned with production parameters for the following 12 weeks. Inclusive of operating hours, quality parameters and engineering requirements.


• Proactively identify slow-moving and obsolete SKU risks, report and follow up by closely working with other functional teams.


• Review existing processes and work closely with the procurement team to improve accuracy and efficiencies, where possible.


• Ensure production requirements are within agreed min/max levels to best service both the customer and logistics.


• To take ownership of customer stock levels and forecasting, regularly updating the other members of the planning team and customer accounts.


• React to issues daily, created both internally and by customers.


• Provide demand planning support for colleagues when required.
