Job summary

First Call Contract Services Limited is seeking an experienced Transport Clerk to join our busy furniture warehouse and transport operation. You will monitor live delivery routes, coordinate with drivers and customers, and manage transport administration to keep deliveries on time.

You must have prior transport administration experience and be able to handle the pressures of a fast-paced delivery environment.

Qualifications

Experience in transport administration or logistics.
Ability to monitor live vehicle routes and deliveries.
Excellent communication with drivers, customers and colleagues.
Highly organised and able to prioritise under pressure.
Italy? No; IT literacy and confidence using transport systems.

Responsibilities

Monitor live delivery routes and track vehicles throughout the day.
Liaise with drivers, customers and warehouse teams to keep deliveries on schedule.
Deal with live transport issues, delays and customer queries.
Provide clear instructions to drivers to resolve issues quickly.
Update delivery schedules and transport systems with accurate information.
Coordinate changes to routes and delivery times as needed.
Inform customers and departments of delays or changes.
Complete general transport administration and paperwork.
Escalate significant issues to management.
Help keep the transport operation efficient and customer-focused.
