Job summary

itecopeople is seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to own multiple systems integration workstreams in a complex technology environment in London, with a hybrid work pattern. You will drive delivery end-to-end across middleware platforms, APIs, cloud and legacy systems, coordinating engineers, architects, business stakeholders and third‑party suppliers.

The role requires hands-on delivery management and SDLC governance.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years hands-on project/delivery management experience specifically within systems integration.
• Experience personally owning and delivering integration projects.
• Experience with middleware or integration platforms within cloud environments.
• Good understanding of APIs, middleware, integration patterns and technical dependencies.
• Experience delivering through the full SDLC.
• Legacy integration and/or middleware migration experience desirable.
• Strong risk, issue and dependency management skills.
• Ability to understand technical delivery risks without needing to be a developer.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across technical teams, business, senior stakeholders and suppliers.

• Escalate significant risks and issues at the right time, with clear impact and actions.
• Maintain delivery plans, priorities, resources and dependencies across concurrent workstreams.
• Ensure lessons and root causes from previous integrations inform future delivery.

Delivery Manager - Systems Integration

Location: London / Hybrid

Salary: £53,000 - £61,000

Contract: 12-month Fixed Term Contract

The Opportunity. We are looking for an experienced Delivery Manager to take ownership of multiple systems integration workstreams within a complex technology environment.

This is a hands‑on delivery role requiring genuine experience of managing systems integrations through middleware/integration platforms. You don’t need experience of a particular technology stack or sector, but you must have personally owned the delivery of integration projects rather than simply supported them through PMO or governance.

Experience of legacy integrations, cloud environments and migrating integrations from one middleware platform to another would be particularly valuable.

What You’ll Be Doing

What We’re Looking For. At least 5 years’ hands‑on project/delivery management experience specifically within systems integration.

• Demonstrable experience personally owning and delivering integration projects.
• Experience working with middleware or integration platforms within cloud‑based environments.
• Good practical understanding of APIs, middleware, integration patterns and technical dependencies.
• Experience managing integration delivery through the full SDLC.
• Legacy integration and/or middleware migration experience would be highly desirable.
• Strong risk, issue and dependency management skills.
• Ability to understand technical delivery risks without needing to be a developer.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple integration workstreams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across technical teams, the business, senior stakeholders and suppliers.
• Good judgement - able to take ownership of problems while recognising when an issue needs escalating.

About you. You are someone who understands what is really happening across their projects - not simply whether milestones are red or green. You’ll know where the key risks and dependencies sit, what problems may be coming, what is being done to mitigate them and when stakeholders need to be involved.
