Job description

We are looking for an experienced Delivery Manager / Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead technology delivery initiatives and ensure successful execution of projects within a complex enterprise environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software development and technology delivery, experience managing cross-functional teams, and the ability to work closely with technical and business stakeholders. Exposure to C#/.NET applications and Microsoft Azure environments would be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end technology delivery, ensuring projects are completed within agreed timelines, scope, and quality standards.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, architects, infrastructure, and support teams.
• Act as the primary point of contact for delivery-related matters and stakeholder communication.
• Manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues.
• Provide technical and functional guidance to teams and support decision-making.
• Ensure effective governance, reporting, and delivery controls.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into actionable delivery plans.
• Drive continuous improvement across delivery processes and operational practices.
• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and governance standards, particularly within UK public sector or regulated environments.
• Support resource planning, prioritisation, and delivery performance management.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in technology delivery management or technical project management.
• Experience managing software development and enterprise technology projects.
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Strong planning, risk management, governance, and reporting skills.
• Good understanding of application development concepts and technologies such as C#/.NET.
• Experience working in complex or regulated IT environments.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure or cloud-based environments.
• Previous experience in UK Government or public sector projects.
• Relevant Agile, Scrum, PRINCE2, or project management certifications.
• Experience in service delivery, operational governance, and compliance management.
