Job description
Rail Delivery Manager – Sizewell C ⚡

Sizewell C is a cornerstone of the UK’s future energy strategy and one of the most significant infrastructure programmes in Europe. We are looking for an experienced Rail Delivery Manager to lead the safe, coordinated, and efficient delivery of major rail infrastructure within the Off Site Delivery sub-programme of the Sizewell C Site Delivery Programme.

The Role

You will take full ownership of rail projects from early investigation and design through procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover. Working in a highly regulated environment, you’ll ensure delivery to exacting standards of safety, quality, cost, and schedule while managing complex stakeholder and contractor interfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of multi-disciplinary rail projects
  • Define scope and manage interfaces across the wider programme
  • Develop and execute implementation and construction plans
  • Manage cost, schedule, risk, change control, and EVM performance
  • Oversee Level 3 schedules and contractor rolling programmes
  • Lead stakeholder engagement with Network Rail, ORR, local authorities, and contractors
  • Ensure contract compliance, assurance, and continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience delivering complex rail projects in regulated environments (nuclear highly advantageous)
  • Strong EPCM background with full lifecycle delivery experience
  • Expertise in NEC contracts, procurement, and contractor management
  • Solid understanding of Network Rail standards (GRIP, EMP, AMP, DWWP)
  • Strong commercial, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with EVM, risk, cost, and schedule control
  • Confident leader of multi-disciplinary teams
Qualifications
  • Degree-qualified with Chartered status (or working towards)
  • Good knowledge of CDM Regulations
  • Personal Track Safety (PTS)
  • Relevant CSCS certification
