Job summary

London Gatwick is reimagining the Northern Runway Project, delivering a multi-billion‑pound programme within a live airport environment. This is a once‑in‑a‑generation opportunity to shape the UK’s largest infrastructure programme.

As Head of Delivery (Dual Runway), you will lead the strategy across procurement, construction and handover, inspire a high‑performing team and ensure safety, regulatory compliance and value for money. Hybrid working available.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Experience leading large multi-disciplinary client-side teams (of up to 30 people).
• Proven delivery of major infrastructure programmes valued in excess of £500m (ideally £1bn+).
• Experience in regulated airport or infrastructure environments with strong stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the programme-wide delivery strategy for the Dual Runway and Surface Access programme.
• Oversee procurement, mobilisation, construction and handover phases.
• Lead a high-performing delivery team and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage Tier 1 contractors and delivery partner performance.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental performance across the programme.
