Job summary

Syngenta is seeking a Delivery Lead in Platform Engineering to drive reliable, transparent delivery across Engineering and Technology. Based in Platform Engineering, you will own cross-stream dependencies, orchestration, and alignment with AI Enablement and Product Engineering, ensuring incrementally delivered value.

The role requires shaping delivery cadence, managing risks, and publishing authoritative dashboards.

Qualifications

Proven track record coordinating multi-squad engineering delivery in large-enterprise environments.
Understanding of CI/CD, cloud, IAM, observability, API infrastructure and HPC enough to challenge delivery assumptions.
Able to distinguish technical, resourcing and process risks and elevate the right issue on time.
Adaptive to Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid approaches in platform engineering; able to coordinate vendor delivery without derailing internal priorities.
Influencing without authority, credibility and leadership backing required for delivery decisions.
Exceptional written communication with clear dashboards, dependency registers, status reports, and re-plans.
Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
Experience delivering technology capabilities in scientific, R&D, data-intensive, or complex enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

Own the delivery rhythm across Platform Engineering and ensure value-driven ceremonies.
Surface and manage cross-squad dependencies inside Platform Engineering and with primary consumers.
Coordinate day-to-day delivery with vendor leads and statements of work within scope.
Onboard/offboard vetted externals with Staff Engineers; surface performance or capacity issues early.
Chair the Delivery Council and drive cross-stream dependency registers and follow-through.
Call cross-stream re-plans when commitments slip and escalate when needed.
Maintain delivery metrics and publish dashboards for transparency and action.
Drive recurring delivery forums and align with broader Engineering and Tech cadence.
Identify, assess, and mitigate delivery risks and issues; communicate impact to stakeholders.
Facilitate capacity planning and optimize resource utilization across teams.
Champion continuous improvement in delivery processes with measurable outcomes.
Maintain comprehensive delivery documentation and knowledge repositories.
