Job summary

The Sofa Delivery Company is part of the DFS Group and operates two-person delivery teams that install furniture in customers' homes across the UK. You’ll complete 10–15 deliveries daily and contribute to a seamless, high-quality service in every interaction.

This hands-on role requires physical work, teamwork, and a focus on safety while consistently meeting customer expectations. We offer a competitive salary of £32,723 per year, plus a quarterly bonus up to £2,000 and a £1,000 sign-on bonus

Qualifications

• + Hold a 7.5T licence with Digi Tacho, CPC, and valid manual licence.
• + Driver's licence valid for 12 months with <6 points.
• + Be able to work in a supportive two-person delivery team.
• + Comfortable installing and lifting heavy furniture in customers' homes.
• + Strong time management and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Complete all deliveries into customers’ homes in a safe and professional manner.
• Communicate with the customer prior to delivery to confirm arrival.
• Ensure furniture is delivered to the requested room and dispose of no rubbish.
• Represent The Sofa Delivery Company values and those of brand partners in all actions.
• Work with the team and managers to improve service standards.
• Carry out daily inspections of vehicles and equipment and report defects.

You’ll work as part of a skilled 2-person delivery team, completing 10-15 deliveries a day and installing furniture in customers’ homes. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role involving regular lifting of heavy items and navigating stairs and tight spaces. If you take pride in doing a job properly, you’ll thrive here. What you'll be doing

• Complete all deliveries into customers’ homes in a safe and professional manner.
• Communicate effectively with the customer prior to delivery to ensure that they know you’re on your way to their address.
• Ensure furniture is delivered to the room requested by the customer and that we do not leave them with any rubbish to dispose of.
• Represent The Sofa Delivery Company values and those of our brand partners in everything that you do.
• Work with your team and senior managers to provide feedback and continually improve the standards of service we offer.
• Carry out daily inspections of allocated vehicles and equipment, informing the line manager of any defects/missing items immediately.
• Comply with all driving laws as defined by the government and all company policies and procedures.

The role is for you if...

• You hold a 7.5T Licence/Grandfather rights/ROI equivalent, up to date Digi Tacho, CPC Card and valid manual driving licence
• You’ve held a valid driver’s licence for 12 months with less than 6 points
• You’re ready to work as part of a supportive two-person team.
• You’re great with people and enjoy helping customers.
• You’re comfortable installing and lifting heavy furniture in different home settings.
• You’ve got strong time management skills and thrive on variety.
• You take pride in your work and value safety - of yourself and those around you.
