Job summary

John Lewis & Partners is seeking a Section Manager for the Customer Delivery Hub in Southampton. You will lead a team of Partners responsible for direct-to-customer deliveries and ensure the supply chain runs smoothly while upholding the John Lewis standard of customer service.

The role requires managing resources, KPIs, and out-of-hours responsibilities to safeguard business continuity, with an emphasis on compliance and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large operational teams in a logistics or delivery environment.
• Strong knowledge of transport operations and legal and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Plan operational resources daily and weekly with Partners and agency.
• Maintain relationships with operational teams for effective cross-site communication.
• Monitor department KPIs to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure daily communication with the transport planning team.
• Manage day-to-day transport office operations and schedules.
• Be flexible for out-of-hours responsibilities to support business continuity.
