Job summary

Ocado Logistics is seeking Customer Service Team Members to deliver groceries on time and with a friendly approach. You’ll be on the road in all weathers, supported by route-planning technology and van pre-loading.

Shifts include evenings and weekends, with base pay plus premiums increasing earnings. Expect a 40-hour week with 4x10 or 5x8 scheduling, lunar pay cycles, and benefits such as a pension, health service, and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Full UK or EU driving licence is required.

In return, we use our automated technology to pre plan your route and pre-load your van! Everyone likes their groceries at different times, so our working patterns will involve evenings and weekends in addition to weekdays - so on top of your base pay you will receive premiums that will increase your average hourly earnings to £14.58 per hour.

Requirements

So what do we need from you? You don’t need any previous experience to join our good-natured team, just bring yourself and a positive attitude, and our amazing training team will do the rest! But you will need the following Driving Licence Requirements:

• Full UK or EU driving licence
• Minimum of 12 months driving experience
• Maximum of 6 penalty points
• No driving disqualifications in the past 5 years
• Some deliveries involve the handling of alcohol products, so you must be over 18 to apply
• As this is a customer facing role, good communication skills are also essential

Contract Details

Your contracted workweek is 40 hours, which can be scheduled as either four 10-hour days or five 8-hour days within a seven day period.

Shifts

AM & PM. You may start as early as 05:30 in the morning, and can finish as late as 12:00 (midnight). Please check your commute time prior to applying. You will receive your shift rota up to 13 weeks in advance.

Pay Structure

This position is lunar paid. This means you will be paid every 4 weeks according to a monthly schedule. Please take this into consideration when applying.

Hourly Pay Rates

• Basic rate (Monday to Saturday) £13.96
• Monday to Saturday evening premium (1800-0600) £15.08
• Basic rate (Sunday) £15.36
• Sunday evening premium (1800-0600) £16.59
• Overtime (day) £17.45
• Overtime evening (1800-0600) £18.57
