Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Delivery Driver / Stores Person in Central Widnes. You will pick and prepare stock for deliveries, unload and load deliveries, and maintain a clean warehouse while providing great customer service.

The role offers daytime hours (Mon–Fri, 7am–4pm), weekly pay, and a pathway from temporary to permanent employment. A full UK driving licence and 7.5-tonne capability are required; FLT licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence with Category C1 entitlement (7.5-tonne vehicle).
• Expiring FLT Counterbalance licence acceptable; renewal within last 3 years preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Team-oriented, positive, can-do attitude.
• Previous FLT experience.

Responsibilities

• Pick and prepare stock for deliveries.
• Organise stock and maintain a clean, tidy warehouse.
• Unload and load deliveries.
• Load vans for next-day deliveries.
• Complete associated paperwork accurately.
• Check in and record stock as it arrives.
• Provide excellent customer service at all times.
• Deliver products to customers safely and efficiently.

Central Widnes | £13.15 per hour (increasing after 12 weeks) | Monday–Friday, 7am–4pm (40 hours per week, 1-hour lunch) | Temporary to Permanent

Requirements

• Ideally, an RTITB or ITSSAR accredited FLT Counterbalance Licence (refreshed within the last 3 years). The client will accept an expired or in-house licence.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Previous FLT experience.
