Job summary

Sysco Belfast is seeking a Driver Helper to support delivery drivers across our customer network. The role involves loading and unloading vehicles, assisting with daily deliveries, and accompanying drivers to customer premises.

This is a fixed-term contract for 3 months with a pay rate of £14.05 per hour. Ideal candidates will have strong interpersonal and organisational skills, endurance, and the ability to work to schedules while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
• Excellent organizational, prioritization, self-motivation, and problem resolution skills.
• Must exhibit a high level of endurance, energy and desire to successfully perform in the position.
• Ability to effectively listen, understand and respond positively to requests with the appropriate sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading, unloading and preparing delivery vehicles with the Delivery Drivers.
• Follow routes and time schedules with the assigned Delivery Driver.
• Travel with the delivery driver and unload products at customer premises.
• Maintain communication with operations supervisors/managers.
