Job summary

Ocado Logistics in Knowsley is hiring a Delivery Driver to join our customer‑facing team. You’ll be out on the road delivering quality groceries on time while providing a friendly service to customers.

Working pattern includes evenings and weekends with shifts 05:30–00:00, 37.5 hours per week across five days. Hourly pay starts at base rates with premiums for evenings and Sundays, and paid breaks as part of our lunar pay schedule.

Qualifications

• Full UK or EU driving licence.
• Minimum 12 months driving experience.
• Maximum 6 penalty points.
• No driving disqualifications in the past 5 years.
• Some deliveries involve alcohol products, must be over 18 to apply.
• Good communication skills are essential.

Everyone likes their groceries at different times, so our working patterns will involve evenings and weekends in addition to weekdays – so on top of your base pay you will receive premiums that will increase your average hourly earnings to £13.34 per hour. So what do we need from you? You don’t need any previous experience to join our good‑natured team, just bring yourself and a positive attitude, and our amazing training team will do the rest! But you will need the following:

Driving Licence Requirements:

• Full UK or EU driving licence
• Minimum of 12 months driving experience
• Maximum of 6 penalty points
• No driving disqualifications in the past 5 years
• Some deliveries involve the handling of alcohol products, so you must be over 18 to apply
• As this is a customer facing role, good communication skills are also essential

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours (including paid breaks)

Contracted days: You will be required to work any 5 days out of 7 working 7.5 hour shifts. This is subject to change at any time and you will be provided with further information during pre‑boarding.

Shifts: AM & PM. You may start as early as 05:30 in the morning, and can finish as late as 12:00 (midnight). Please check your commute time prior to applying. You will receive your shift rota up to 13 weeks in advance.

Pay Structure: This position is lunar paid. This means you will be paid every 4 weeks according to a monthly schedule. Please take this into consideration when applying.

Hourly Pay Rates:

• Monday to Saturday (Basic Rate): £12.75
• Evening Premium (from 6pm): £1.12
• Sunday Day Premium: £1.28
• Sunday Evening Premium: £2.51
• Overtime rate Monday to Saturday (Day Shift): £15.94
• Overtime rate Monday to Saturday (Evening Shift): £17.06
