Full Time – 30 Hours Per Week – Including Weekends

Fully Flexible Temporary Contract

We are currently seeking a Delivery Driver/Goods in Assistant to join our large Garden Centre Group.

The successful candidate will be expected to complete home deliveries, so should be physically fit as this is a very hands-on role and you will need to handle large and heavy loads. Experience in retail is essential, as is good customer service.

Fully Flexible to work weekend early mornings

Outstanding safety background.

Full Clean Driving License Essential.

Must have experience in the role previously.

The Successful Candidate Will

• Hold a full, clean driving licence.
• Be comfortable driving a Luton van.
• Be experienced in a retail environment.
• Have a friendly and positive attitude, providing a great customer experience at point of delivery.
• Be flexible, as some weekend working will be required.
• Have good organisational skills.

Duties Will Include

• Loading customer orders on the van in a safe and timely manner, ensuring products are wrapped and secured efficiently.
• Planning of routes beforehand.
• Stock/fixture transfers between stores when required.
• Maintenance and due diligence check of delivery van.
• Planning daily routes and contacting customers.
• Able to drive a Luton Van.
• Other duties as required around the Centre.
• Assist the goods-in team with booking deliveries and stock management.
