Job summary

Ocado Logistics is hiring Delivery Drivers in Cardiff to join a busy, customer-facing team. You will deliver groceries on a route plan, handle deliveries in all weather, and work 37.5–40 hours with paid breaks.

Base hourly rates plus premiums apply, with enhanced overtime and paid breaks, making earnings attractive. No prior experience required; full UK/EU licence, 12 months driving experience, and up to 6 penalty points are acceptable.

Whilst others might call you delivery drivers, here at Ocado Logistics our Customer Service Team Members play a vital role, delivering top quality products on time and in an efficient manner. You’ll be out on the road whatever the weather, but you’ll never have to fight over the radio station, and you can sing along as loud as you like!

In return, we use our automated technology to pre-plan your route and pre-load your van! Everyone likes their groceries at different times, so our working patterns will involve evenings and weekends in addition to weekdays — so on top of your base pay you will receive premiums that will increase your average hourly earnings to £14.60 per hour. You can also stack your earnings further with enhanced overtime to fund those special occasions! All your breaks are paid, meaning for every minute at work you get paid. That’s a great deal!

So what do we need from you?

You don't need any previous experience to join our good‑natured team, just bring yourself and a positive attitude, and our training team will do the rest! But you will need the following:

Driving Licence Requirements:

• Full UK or EU driving licence
• Minimum of 12 months driving experience
• Maximum of 6 penalty points
• No driving disqualifications in the past 5 years
• Because some deliveries involve handling alcohol products, you must be over 18 to apply
• Good communication skills are essential as this is a customer‑facing role

Contract Details:

• Type: Permanent
• Hours: 37.5 or 40 hours (including paid breaks)
• Days: Any 5 days out of 7, with 7.5 or 8-hour shifts (further details provided during pre-boarding)
• Shifts: AM & PM, starting as early as 05:30 and finishing as late as 12:00 (midnight)
• Pay Schedule: Paid every 4 weeks according to a monthly schedule

Hourly Pay Rates:

• Monday to Saturday (Basic Rate): £13.96
• Evening Premium (from 6pm): £15.08
• Sunday Day Premium: £15.36
• Sunday Evening Premium: £16.59
• Overtime (Day Shift): £17.45
• Overtime (Evening Shift): £18.57
