Job summary

Argos in Coventry is seeking a Home Delivery Driver to provide a fast, reliable doorstep service for customers. You will drive a 3.5 tonne van, deliver a range of products and maintain vehicle safety and organisation.

You’ll support customers, learn new digital tools, and work across stockroom and shop floor areas. The role suits those who communicate well and can handle a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Friendly and professional with a genuine enthusiasm for helping customers and delivering the best doorstep experience.
• Confident in driving a large vehicle in different locations and delivering to various properties.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, physical environment and use initiative to solve problems.
• Willing to learn new skills and use digital tools to perform the role.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 3.5 tonne van to deliver products to customers on time and in good condition.
• Perform checks to keep the van clean, roadworthy and secure before setting out.
• Assist customers and answer questions, keeping them informed of delays.
• Learn to use new technology and navigate diverse locations from urban streets to country lanes.
• Support stockroom and shop floor operations when not on the road.
• Build knowledge of products and promotions to offer informed recommendations.

As a Home Delivery Driver, you’ll provide an industry leading fast-track service that brings Argos products to customers' doors.

• Late Shift - Start Time 13:00
• Late Shift - End Time 21:00

What you’ll be doing:

• Driving a 3.5 tonne van to deliver a variety of products to our customers doorsteps, on-time and in great condition
• Completing checks to ensure the van is organised, clean and roadworthy, and that delivery cases are secure before getting out onto the road to drive safely in a variety of locations and conditions
• Serve our customers brilliantly, supporting with any questions and keeping them aware of any delays
• Confident in learning to use new technology to do your job brilliantly, comfortable driving a large vehicle in different locations from residential streets to country lanes
• When not on the road, you’ll help maintain a slick operation in the stock room or on the shop floor
• Build great knowledge about our products, services and promotions to help provide recommendations
