Job summary

Argos in Aberdeen is seeking a Home Delivery Driver to operate a 3.5t van, delivering products to customers' doors with care and on time. You'll handle checks, keep the vehicle tidy, and communicate delays clearly.

You'll engage with customers, use digital tools, and help in stockroom or shop floor when not on the road. The role requires enthusiasm, reliability, and the ability to work flexible hours across shifts.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with 12 months' experience and max 6 points.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to work early mornings and weekends.
• Ability to learn new digital tools and tech.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 3.5 tonne van to customers' doors and deliver on time.
• Keep van clean, organized, and roadworthy.
• Assist customers and answer questions, managing delays.
• Learn and use new digital tools to complete tasks.
• Assist in stockroom and store floor when not on the road.
• Develop product knowledge to provide recommendations.

What you’ll be doing:

• Driving a 3.5 tonne van to deliver a variety of products to our customers doorsteps, on-time and in great condition


• Completing checks to ensure the van is organised, clean and roadworthy, and that delivery cases are secure before getting out onto the road to drive safely in a variety of locations and conditions


• Serve our customers brilliantly, supporting with any questions and keeping them aware of any delays


• Confident in learning to use new technology to do your job brilliantly, comfortable driving a large vehicle in different locations from residential streets to country lanes


• When not on the road, you’ll help maintain a slick operation in the stock room or on the shop floor


• Build great knowledge about our products, services and promotions to help provide recommendations

Eligibility:

• You must be over 18 and have held a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points on it


• You will complete an online driving risk assessment as part of your interview and, if you’re successful, there’ll be a driving assessment when you join us


• You must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK


• Ability to worka variety of shifts across the weekandthree shift blocks during the day:Monday to Sunday 5:00am - 1:00pm, 1:00pm - 6:00pm, 6:00pm - 10:30pm. Your hours will be scheduled to fit around your availability and may vary from week to week.Plus, there may be opportunities for overtime, including supporting your local Sainsbury’s.
