Job summary

Plumb Centre, part of the Wolseley Group, is seeking a Delivery Driver 3.5T in Ipswich. You will drive a 3.5T van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies, mainly around the London area, with 8–10 deliveries daily to building sites.

The role is permanent, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07:00–16:00, with no weekend work. In addition to the £26,695 salary, there are benefits including annual leave, a pension scheme, potential bonuses, enhanced maternity/adoption leave and access to

Qualifications

• Full clean UK manual driving licence.
• Experience with multidrop driving preferred.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Driving a 3.5T van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies mainly around London area.
• The number of deliveries will vary day to day from 8 - 10 mainly to building sites.
• Carrying out vehicle checks.
• Loading and unloading deliveries, including heavy items such as boilers, radiators, toilets and sinks.
• Assisting in the warehouse if back from deliveries early with unloading stock, picking & packing orders, stock checks and tidying.

As a Delivery Driver 3.5t based in Ipswich you'll be responsible for:

• Driving a 3.5T van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies mainly around London area
• The number of deliveries will vary day to day from 8 - 10 mainly to building sites
• Carrying out vehicle checks
• Loading and unloading deliveries, which involves manual handling of heavy items such as boilers, radiators toilets and sinks
• Assisting in the warehouse if back from deliveries early with unloading stock, picking & packing orders, stock checks and general tidying

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07:00am - 4:00pm. No weekend work required.
