Job summary

Tempur Sealy International is looking for a 7.5T Driver based at our UK head office in Hayes, Middlesex. The role covers a 55-hour week delivering to retailer warehouses and shops, with occasional home deliveries and bed-building when needed.

You will hold a full clean 7.5T licence, CPC ready, and have prior delivery experience. You will join the Transport team to maintain service levels and respond promptly to customer requests.

Responsibilities

Their role is to liaise with and meet the needs of our customers. Tasks include making sure that all deliveries are made in a timely manner and preparing the paperwork for both our warehouse and our customers. Our customer base is varied and the team have to of manage both our retailer and individual consumers. The team also need to liaise with our other operations departments and own stores. This means that the team needs to be flexible and adaptable.

The Drivers role is to make sure that all deliveries are made in a timely manner, to make sure that we meet and exceed the expectations of our customers. A good transport / deliveries service contributes considerably to our sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Driver would be responsible for loading at Tempur and delivering to retailer warehouses and shops
• Occasional home delivery may be required which could include bed building (with where required another person)
• Nights out will be required weekly. 1, 2 or 3 nights depending on delivery locations
• Driver responsible for cleaning inside and outside of Tempur truck
• Work effectively as part of the team to be able to communicate effectively at all levels responding positively and within acceptable time scales to internal and external customer requests.
• Maintain all service levels and achieve targets by utilising all resources including a contingency for unexpected events.
• Respond positively and within acceptable time scales (2 hours) to internal and external customer requests
• Ensure that all the drivers time directive is adhere to
• Maintaining your vehicle appearance
• Ad hoc duties as and when required

Knowledge/ Skills/ Experience/Profile

• Full clean 7.5T licence is imperative
• CPC ready - Essential
• Prior delivery experience required
• The role will be 55 hours per week

Reporting Structure

• This role will report to the Transport Supervisor.
• The role will be based at our UK head office in Hayes, Middlesex
