Job summary

Hudson Lifting in East Tilbury is seeking a Delivery Driver to service our South London customer base, delivering and collecting specialist lifting equipment with a 3.5T vehicle and top customer service.

You will plan routes with the Branch Manager, secure loads safely, complete paperwork, and present yourself professionally at every customer site. A full UK driving licence and 21+ age are required; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and 21+ age.
• Previous delivery or driving experience.
• Strong time management and route planning.
• Basic understanding of lifting equipment (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver and collect lifting equipment using a 3.5T vehicle.
• Plan routes and delivery schedules with the Branch Manager to meet customer expectations.
• Secure all loads according to safety protocols and company procedures.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately and maintain transport documentation.
• Act as a professional, courteous representative at every customer site.
• Maintain a clean vehicle and drive in line with Highway Code and hours rules.
• Handle delivery issues calmly and effectively.

Whatyou’lldo:

• Maintain a clean and tidy vehicle and drive responsibly in line with the Highway Code and driver hour regulations.
• Handle any delivery issues calmly and effectively.

Whatwe’relooking for:

• Afull UK driving licence(must be21+due to insurance requirements).
• Previousexperience in a similar delivery or driving role.
• Strong time management and route planning skills.
• Experience with GPS/navigation tools.
• Basic understanding of liftingequipment (training will be provided).
• Calm under pressure, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
