JOB SUMMARY

Job Summary: This is a pivotal role at the heart of Apogee’s evolution. You will lead our Project Management Office (PMO) and Technical Engineering Functions, bringing together deep technical expertise and operational excellence to deliver world‑class customer outcomes. With around 50 professionals reporting into you and ambitious growth plans ahead, you will shape and scale our technical delivery capability – spanning everything from Cat6 cabling to cloud migrations, infrastructure to audio‑visual, and complex MPS software solutions. You will work closely with our commercial teams to align delivery capacity with demand, drive efficiency and profitability, and ensure we always follow the opportunity. This is a role for a builder – someone who can grow a respected team into a diverse, agile, and high‑performing function, while maintaining our unwavering focus on customer success.

PRE‑EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

This role is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. As the position is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, applicants are required to disclose all spent and unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands, and final warnings that are not protected under the Exceptions Order 1975. Any offer of employment will be conditional upon a satisfactory DBS certificate and a risk assessment of any disclosed information. We are committed to fair recruitment and will consider disclosed information on a case‑by‑case basis, in line with our policy on the recruitment of ex‑offenders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead, inspire, and develop our PMO and Technical Engineering teams to deliver exceptional results.
  • Build and grow cross‑functional delivery teams capable of supporting a broad range of technologies and customer solutions.
  • Partner with Sales and Technical leadership to align capacity forecasting and delivery strategy.
  • Drive operational excellence – ensuring all projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs and SLAs to ensure continual improvement and outstanding customer satisfaction.
  • Champion compliance and quality standards across ISO, CE+, and GDPR frameworks.
  • Act as an escalation point for major projects, ensuring clear communication and rapid resolution.
  • Mentor emerging leaders, creating a strong pipeline of future talent.
  • Collaborate with vendors and partners to strengthen Apogee’s accreditations and long‑term capability.

This role involves hybrid working with office locations in Maidstone & Lincoln. A typical working pattern is Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30, with a one‑hour lunch break.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • PRINCE2 or equivalent project management expertise.
  • A strong grasp of the IT Channel and vendor relationship dynamics.
  • A history of driving transformation and growth within a professional services environment.
