Qualifications

  • Expertise across infrastructure (VMWare, Simplivity), cloud (Azure/O365), networking and end-user computing.
  • Strong understanding of IT security, governance, and compliance.
  • Experience in managing IT budgets, vendors, and transformation programmes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills at an executive level.
  • A people-focused leadership style that builds trust, inspires performance, and encourages innovation.

Location Remote (Required to attend the office in Maidstone 1 day a week)

Job Summary

We are seeking a visionary Head of IT to lead Apogee’s internal IT operations across the UK and Europe. This is a pivotal role for an experienced leader who combines strategic foresight with operational excellence.

Reporting to the IT Director, you will oversee a multi‑disciplinary team of 13 covering infrastructure, networking, systems administration, end‑user computing, application development, and service delivery. You will ensure our systems are secure, scalable, and high‑performing – while driving innovation and alignment with business goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute the internal IT strategy aligned with business and HP technology standards.

A typical working pattern is Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30, with a one‑hour lunch break. This is a hybrid role with 1 day per week expected in Maidstone.
