Job summary

poltronesofà UK at Livingston Distribution Centre is seeking a Distribution Support role to help load and unload furniture and deliver into customers’ homes. Prior furniture delivery experience helps, but a positive attitude and ability to learn are valued.

You will assist the Delivery Driver, follow delivery schedules, and work as part of a wider distribution centre team committed to safety and great customer service.

Qualifications

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow processes and procedures.
• Physically fit for heavy lifting.
• Experience in a warehouse environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carefully deliver and install furniture in customers’ homes.
• Support the Delivery Driver with ensuring the delivery schedule is followed; multiple drops daily.
• Assist with loading and unloading furniture onto vehicles as part of the distribution centre team.
• Provide excellent service to customers and encourage feedback.
• Ensure team safety by performing quality checks.
• Heavy lifting required.
• Work 46 hours over 4 days with Sundays off.

What’s the opportunity?

You’ll support the Delivery Driver in loading and unloading our furniture and deliver it into our customer’s homes.

Previous furniture delivery experience can be a benefit, but we find personality and the ability to learn new skills more important.

What does the role involve?

• Carefully deliver and install furniture in customers’ homes


• Support the Delivery Driver with making sure the delivery schedule is followed. You’d be making multiple drops daily.


• Work as part of a wider distribution centre team in helping to load and unload furniture onto our vehicles


• Providing a brilliant service to our customers and encouraging their feedback


• Making sure the team is safe by carrying out quality checks


• Heavy lifting


• Work 46 hours over 4 days with every Sunday off
