Job summary

Mary Rush Care Ltd is seeking Deli Counter Assistants in Bradford to deliver excellent customer service while preparing and serving fresh foods. You will maintain clean workspaces, follow food safety standards, and assist with stock, packaging, and opening/closing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Maintain strong product knowledge to effectively answer customer queries and offer recommendations.
• Ensure proper stock rotation and adherence to food safety standards.
• Operate meat slicing equipment (for employees aged 18 and over) following all safety procedures.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and working stock and deliveries.
• Accurately pack and label pies, curries, and other prepared food items for sale.
• Assisting with the opening and closing procedures of the counter and shop as needed.
• Housekeeping, making sure workstations and back of house areas are clean throughout the day.
• Dealing with customer complaints in a professional manner, directing to a manager if needed.
• Providing support in other areas of the business, as required by the management team.

Your key priorities and duties will be;
