Job description

Delegate Sales Executive up to £24K basic (OTE £36K). Working for an independent growing business. Based in Central Essex.

About the role of a Delegate Sales Executive:

As a Delegate Sales Executive, you will be expected to focus on selling conference delegate spaces to a range of clients in the market. There will be a strong emphasis on new business (prices range from £1000-£2000 per ticket). The sales process is telephone sales, but you will be required to attend the conferences (often overseas) and build relationships.

Our client is a growing player in the conference sector. They possess a great reputation in the market and have seen their size increase dramatically over the last few years. Now operating a number of leading events a year, they have established themselves as a key player in the niche market which they operate in. With considerable interest in their events this would be a great time to get involved!

The Candidate profile:

Successful applicants should be able to demonstrate competency in the below key areas, it is not essential to meet all requirements but priority will be given to applications that satisfy most:

  • Ideally media/delegate sales experience, but any B2B sales will be considered.
  • A recent graduate with great drive and ambition.
  • Evidence of achieving / over-achieving personal targets.
  • Able to quickly build rapport with clients.
  • High attention to detail. Able to work in an organised and professional manner.
  • A desire to learn how to sell in a consultative way.
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude.
  • Dynamic with high energy.
  • Able to provide excellent customer service.
