Job summary

Copello Global in the United Kingdom is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join a defence-focused team, developing and validating simulation software for high-stakes systems. You will design test plans, execute verification activities, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineers to ensure robust performance.

Candidates should have strong experience in software testing or V&V, familiarity with GitLab/Jenkins/JIRA, and ISTQB or equivalent certification.

Qualifications

• Experience in software testing, systems integration or verification & validation (V&V).
• Knowledge of software development lifecycles and Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, JIRA or similar development environments.
• Experience analysing software logs and system data.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent software testing experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans, test specifications and validation strategies.
• Plan and execute software and systems testing activities.
• Investigate software issues and support fault finding activities.
• Analyse system data and logs to identify defects and verify performance.
• Support integration, demonstrations and customer trials.
• Produce clear technical reports and communicate progress to project stakeholders.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout development and delivery.
