Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers in Stevenage is seeking a Network Engineer to join a market-leading Defence and Aerospace environment. You will deliver dedicated DEx Network services and work within a security-conscious team to meet stringent requirements.

The role emphasizes remediation of issues, collaboration with security and service teams, crypto management, and knowledge of Cisco, OSI, and network protocols. A solid IT background and experience with monitoring tools are essential.

Qualifications

• High level MOD security clearance.
• Crypto experience and strong knowledge of crypto best practice.
• Knowledge of Cisco Catalyst Center, ISE; Cisco best practice and CVDs.
• Exposure to SDA principles and deployments.
• Proficient in monitoring technologies such as Nagios, PRTG, SolarWinds.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated support, ensuring the effective delivery of DEx Network service in this high-profile environment.
• Own the remediation of any identified issues and risks, based on submitted reports and any other intelligence.
• Assist with the support of the company initiatives as part of the DEx Networks team.
• Build relationships with partners and external suppliers to optimise the service provided and play a substantial role in agreeing service levels.
• Engage with the Security team to develop Security Reporting and risk analysis.
• Collaborate with the Service Manager and DEx Network Service team to ensure Network service requirements meet the agreed criteria.
• Collaborate with the DEx Networks Crypto Network Specialist regarding crypto management and support.
• A background in information technology.
