DWF is seeking a Solicitor or Associate to join the Financial and Professional Risks team in Leeds or Manchester. You will advise insurers and defend professionals in respect of professional negligence, managing your own caseload with support from senior team members.

The role offers a collaborative, social environment with a mix of office presence and flexible work. PQE between 1 and 5 years is preferred; NQ candidates with relevant experience may be considered.

Formación

• 1–5 years PQE in commercial litigation and professional negligence is preferred.
• Experience handling Financial and Professional Risks or Professional Indemnity claims is ideal.
• NQ Solicitor, Trainee or Paralegal with relevant experience may be considered.

Responsabilidades

• Progress defence of pre-action and litigated claims under partner supervision.
• Disclose review, costs budgets, and instructions to counsel and experts.
• Conduct legal research on liability and claims value.
• Meet court deadlines and client requirements.
• Prepare court documents (claims, defences, questionnaires, bundles).
• Review documents, draft reports and advices for clients.
• Build relationships with colleagues and clients.
• Hit a 1,500 chargeable hours target and contribute to BD initiatives.
• Manage WIP and debt on files to ensure timely invoicing.
• Develop technical and commercial knowledge through training.
• Demonstrate Winning Behaviours and CSR values.
