Description

We are recruiting for a Defendant Personal Injury Paralegal to join our Litigation team.

The successful candidate would be joining the firm at an exciting time, having enjoyed significant and sustained growth. We work with a range of clients, including individuals, insurers, and self-insured companies.

If you can deliver exceptional client service and share our ethos and commitment to building long-lasting client relationships, this role may be ideal for you. We are looking for individuals who have either claimant or defendant experience in road traffic accident claims.

The role is full-time, based at either our Derby or Birmingham office, reporting to the Head of Insurance Litigation.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a proven track record of excellence in defending motor claims.
• Show a creative and innovative approach to defending claims.
• Assist clients in devising key strategies.
• Work effectively alone or as part of a team.
• Keep personal legal knowledge up to date and communicate new advancements to the team.

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

• Ideally, experience in motor-related personal injury matters.
• Manage caseloads involving OIC liability / quantum litigated cases or MOJ Stage 3 cases, infant approvals, liability disputes, with opportunities to develop Part 7 litigation skills.
• Good academic background.
• Exceptional client care skills.
• Excellent knowledge of IT systems and processes.
• Team player capable of leading others.
• Strong networking and client development skills.

Disclosure will be required if a position is offered.

The successful candidate will need to attend an induction and training at the firm’s Derby office.
