Job summary

KLS Law in Warrington invites an experienced Solicitor to join the Defendant Motor team. You will manage a varied caseload of pre-litigated and litigated motor claims, providing practical, commercially focused legal advice to insurers and other clients.

You will assess liability, quantum and litigation risk, and progress claims toward settlement or trial with minimal supervision. The role requires delivering high-quality service while meeting court deadlines, SLAs and regulatory requirements,

Qualifications

Qualified Solicitor with motor claims experience.
Experience with defendant or claimant road traffic accident claims.
Experience handling litigated motor claims.
Knowledge of liability, quantum and civil litigation procedure.
Ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of defendant motor claims in line with client protocols and regulatory requirements.
Handle both pre-litigated and litigated claims, including liability disputes and credit hire.
Assess indemnity disputes and potential adverse findings to guide strategy.
Advice clients with clear, practical and commercially focused guidance.
Draft and review pleadings, statements and instructions to Counsel.
Progress cases using the Proclaim case management system to ensure timely settlements.
