Job summary

KLS Law is seeking an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join our busy Civil Litigation Department in Warrington. You will manage your own caseload of Defendant clinical negligence matters while supporting the Director and team on complex, high-value cases.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years’ PQE, strong technical knowledge of clinical negligence litigation, and a proactive, client-focused approach. The firm offers a supportive environment with a clear progression path and benefits.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE.
• Solid experience managing a caseload of Defendant clinical negligence matters.
• Strong technical knowledge of clinical negligence litigation and procedure.
• Experience handling litigated matters from inception through to resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload of Defendant clinical negligence claims from inception to conclusion.
• Advise clients on merits, liability, causation and quantum.
• Draft legal documents including correspondence, witness statements, schedules, pleadings and court documents.
• Instruct counsel and expert witnesses.
• Conduct liability and quantum investigations.
• Liaise with clients, experts, counsel, defendants and insurers.
• Negotiate settlements and attend mediations/settlement meetings where required.
