Job summary

DAC Beachcroft in Manchester is seeking a Solicitor/Associate to join our Clinical Risk team, specialising in defendant clinical negligence work for NHS bodies, insurers and providers. You will manage a challenging caseload, draft pleadings and settlement documents, negotiate with opponents, and keep cases on track to meet court deadlines, while maintaining excellent client service.

Qualifications

• Experience in clinical negligence, personal injury, civil litigation, or insurance law.
• NHS Resolution or MDO panel experience desirable but not essential.
• Strong technical and organisational skills with pragmatic, client-focused approach.
• Mentoring and coaching skills appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Handle defendant clinical negligence caseload for NHS bodies, insurers and providers.
• Draft legal documents, negotiate and mediate claims, ready cases for court deadlines.
• Engage with clients, provide commercially-focused advice and maintain client relationships.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing, training, and business development.
