Job summary

RecruitMe in Ipswich is seeking a Military Vehicle Engineer to maintain an advanced fleet of state-of-the-art military vehicles and defence equipment. The role includes fully funded technical and military training and career development within the UK Defence sector.

You’ll perform servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment, with enhanced overtime and a Sponsored Reservist requirement, while contributing to safety and operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical maintenance or vehicle repair.
• Ability to diagnose faults and work independently.
• Willing to undergo full military training.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing military vehicles, plant and material-handling equipment.
• Completing planned and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Investigating breakdowns and completing effective repairs.
• Replacing, repairing and rebuilding mechanical components.
• Inspecting and preparing equipment for operational use.
• Completing accurate electronic maintenance records.
• Identifying and ordering replacement parts.
