Job summary

Amey is recruiting skilled engineers to maintain and repair modern military vehicles and defence equipment, ensuring the fleet remains safe and ready for operations. Full technical and military training will be provided, with multiple eligible backgrounds welcomed from automotive and plant sectors.

Role includes servicing, diagnostics, parts ordering and strict adherence to safety and engineering standards. Army Sponsored Reservist status is required for this position.

Qualifications

• You should have good mechanical fault-finding skills and experience servicing or repairing vehicles, machinery or mobile equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulic or electrical systems would be beneficial, but additional training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing military vehicles, plant and material-handling equipment
• Completing planned and preventative maintenance
• Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
• Investigating breakdowns and carrying out repairs
• Replacing and rebuilding mechanical components
• Inspecting and preparing equipment for operational use
• Completing accurate electronic maintenance records
• Identifying and ordering replacement parts
• Working to strict safety, quality and engineering standards
