Job summary

Our client, a leading defence and security organisation, is seeking a Test Equipment Engineer for a six-month contract based in Cheltenham. You will develop, integrate and test industrial test equipment used in aerospace and defence applications, with emphasis on hardware and cross-disciplinary testing.

The role covers hardware integration, LabVIEW and NI toolchains, software and systems testing, fault analysis and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in test equipment engineering or similar technical discipline.
• Strong hardware integration skills.
• Experience with LabVIEW and National Instruments tools.
• Understanding of software testing and systems test processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and integrate test equipment for industrial applications.
• Work across hardware and software aspects of test systems.
• Conduct software testing, systems testing and hardware verification.
• Support LabVIEW and NI-based test solutions development and maintenance.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, mechanical and test engineers.
• Investigate faults, identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and test procedures.
• Ensure test equipment meets project requirements and standards.
