Job summary

Staffline is seeking a Systems Engineer for a 12‑month contract in Dorset. This on‑site role involves translating customer requirements into system architectures and verification strategies across hardware, software and mechanical teams.

You will lead requirements workshops, document interfaces and drive design reviews through gates, contributing to system acceptance and test readiness. A degree or equivalent practical experience in electronic/electrical/aerospace engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing electrical or electronic equipment through the engineering lifecycle.
• Ability to work with customers to understand test objectives and operating environments.
• Experience in leading requirements workshops and technical reviews.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to understand operational and technical needs.
• Plan and lead requirements-capture meetings and workshops.
• Define system architectures, interfaces and verification strategies.
• Ensure project progresses through design gates and reviews.
• Define evidence to demonstrate design maturity at lifecycle stages.
