Job summary

Mane Contract Services is seeking a Systems Engineer to support a major defence engineering programme in Ampthill, Bedfordshire. The role focuses on complex software-intensive systems and advanced platform integration, with responsibilities across the full systems engineering lifecycle.

Working on a 12-month contract, you will contribute to platform systems and special projects, driving MBSE activities, requirements management, modelling, and verification/validation, in a high-integrity

Qualifications

• Strong background in systems engineering within large, complex programmes.
• Experience in defence-related domains is advantageous.
• Proficiency with MBSE tools and modelling methods.
• Familiarity with defence standards and industry best practices.
• Ability to integrate, analyse and solve system-level problems.

Responsibilities

• Apply systems engineering principles across large scale development programmes.
• Develop and manage requirements using DOORS.
• Support MBSE activities using Cameo.
• Conduct modelling and simulation (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink).
• Lead and support Verification & Validation activities.
• Produce Verification & Acceptance statements.
• Assess and implement change proposals.
• Work with communications and RF network architectures.
• Understand system-level behaviours and constraints.
