Job summary

QinetiQ Limited in Malvern is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership across secure defence and national security programmes. The role entails coordinating multidisciplinary teams, shaping technical delivery, and ensuring risk-aware, secure solutions that meet demanding requirements.

The position is based at the Malvern site, with DV clearance required. 37 hours per week, offering opportunities to influence growth and direction within an established capability.

Qualifications

• Experience applying Systems Engineering principles throughout the engineering lifecycle.
• Experience delivering or supporting secure IT, communications or networked systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
• Demonstrable experience leading complex technical work within secure environments.

Responsibilities

• Leading multidisciplinary engineering teams delivering secure customer capabilities
• Providing technical leadership across multiple projects and workstreams
• Defining technical approaches, requirements and engineering solutions
