Job summary

Gattaca is seeking a Solutions Architect to shape secure, scalable architectures for Defence and Government programmes. You’ll collaborate with senior stakeholders, delivery teams, and technical specialists to drive end-to-end solutions from discovery through implementation in the UK.

Based in the Bristol area with a hybrid working model, you will lead architecture governance, mentor junior consultants, and support bid activity for mission-critical initiatives, using TOGAF and Azure-centric

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Solutions Architect in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, especially Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with APIs, systems integration and modern architecture principles.
• Understanding of security architecture and governance frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience in Defence, MOD, National Security or Government sectors.
• Familiarity with TOGAF and defence architecture methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end technical solutions across cloud, data, applications and integration.
• Lead architecture activities from discovery through to implementation.
• Engage with senior stakeholders to understand business and operational requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and governance across project teams.
• Ensure solutions align with security, compliance and architectural standards.
• Support bid activity, solution proposals and client growth initiatives.
• Mentor and develop junior consultants and architects.
