MERITUS is recruiting a Project Accountant to support defence programmes from Oxford on a 12‑month contract with hybrid working (3 days onsite). The role requires DBS clearance with SC clearance advantageous and involves month‑end, budgeting and financial control across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in project accounting, financial controlling or project reporting.
• Experience supporting budgets, forecasts and operating plans.
• Ability to prepare EAC forecasts and contract reviews.
• Experience with month-end accounting and financial close processes.

Responsabilités

• Provide financial reporting and control across defence programmes.
• Support forecasting activities and commercial decision-making.
• Act as finance contact for programme-related queries and stakeholder reporting.
• Challen­ge costs, forecasts and programme assumptions when needed.
