Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Defence Sector Project Manager to support large-scale capital projects for a Derbyshire-based client. The role focuses on day-to-day design team management, delivery-level project tasks, and active participation in programme, risk and change management.

Ideal candidates will have SC-level security clearance, proven Defence project experience, and strong client-facing communication. Travel and overnight stays are expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of supporting components of large defence projects across multiple RIBA work stages.
• Proven track record of leading components of design management or post-contract experience.
• Experience supporting design teams / disciplines or general resource management.
• SC level Security Clearance.
• Excellent client care and communication.
• Willingness to travel with overnight stays.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to use Common Data Environments.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day design team management at a delivery level across the capital project process.
• Take ownership of core project management tasks through all RIBA stages.
• Support programme, risk and change management within the Defence Sector Portfolio.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to meet targets and ensure successful project outcomes.
