Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Senior Programme Lead / Key Account Manager for Defence Projects. The role blends programme delivery, commercial accountability and relationship management across long-term defence engagements at client sites.

You will lead work across RIBA Stages 0-6, ensure projects are defined, financially sound and delivered to a high standard while liaising with senior stakeholders and cross-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in programme delivery within design-led built environment projects.
• Experience managing RIBA Stages 0-6 from scope to handover.
• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercially astute with ownership of fees, forecasting and delivery performance.
• Knowledge of building pathology and construction technology.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop strategic client accounts as the senior relationship lead.
• Lead delivery of multiple defence projects across RIBA Stages 0-6.
• Serve as primary client interface: governance and delivery oversight.
• Undertake site visits, define scope, identify risks, shape delivery plans.
• Develop fee proposals and support forecasting/cost reporting.
• Coordinate surveying and design teams to produce tender packages.
• Provide construction-stage support, including inspections during RIBA 5.
• Oversee handover and as-built documentation.
• Mentor junior team members.
