Job summary

Mace is seeking an Assistant Procurement Commercial Manager to support the Defence Business Unit on pre-contract activities, tendering, and contract formation across major programmes.

You will develop commercial strategies, manage stakeholders, and ensure governance and compliance, with potential permanent appointment after the 12-month FTC.

SC clearance eligibility, national travel, and strong collaboration across multidisciplinary teams are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience producing tender and contract documentation.
• Experience developing commercial and procurement strategies and running end-to-end tender processes.
• Understanding of commercial and contract management principles, with familiarity in Defence/Public Sector procurement.
• Experience developing governance procedures, processes and systems.
• Knowledge of E-Sourcing and E-Evaluation tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare commercial strategies, business cases, contract documents and tender packages.
• Develop commercial strategies, business cases and manage stakeholder relationships through to contract execution.
• Champion a diverse, inclusive and wellbeing focused working environment.
• Support the delivery of key commercial assignments across defence programmes.
• Provide strategic direction aligned with client and project objectives.
• Manage activities across all stages of the MOD commercial lifecycle.
