Job summary

Military Medical Personnel is seeking a Primary Healthcare Nurse to cover a MoD assignment at RAF Marham Medical Centre in Kings Lynn, Norfolk. This locum role is 37.5 hours per week, offering clinical duties within a defence healthcare setting and supporting PAR responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will be an NMC-registered Adult Nurse with current PIN, immunisation/vaccination competency, and the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary Defence Primary Healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Must be Registered Nurse (Adult) with NMC and hold a valid PIN.
• Must have current, valid personal medical indemnity insurance.
• Minimum 1 year post-registration PHC experience (Band 5 or higher).
• BLS, Anaphylaxis, AED and IPC knowledge with certification.
• Immunisation and Vaccination training with certification.
• Venepuncture certification in last 3 years.
• Safeguarding training to Level 3 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Primary Health Care services and elements of Occupational Health and Health Promotion to Defence Medical Services.
• Provide routine clinics as directed to meet PAR needs.
• Develop and implement local care/service delivery programs; perform audits.
• Supervise untrained staff under supervision of senior clinicians.
• Complete mandatory DPHC training and maintain patient safety and governance.
